The Spy Story of Rameshwar Nath Kao – The Man was Photographed Only Twice

Here is the story of the second spy. As we know who actually Spy’s are, the undercover agents who works secretly. On a limitless period, the spy works various government agencies and work that are being done privately and are subtle are taken by him on a track record. A genuine legend with rare acknowledgement and a person who is overlooked in the eyes of ministry. Some get lost in the time and some spy stories appear. After Ajit Doval, here is the story of Rameshwar Nath Kao. The man helped build R&AW and hence didn’t preceded anyone and the surprise fact is that the man was photographed only twice in his entire lifetime.

An insight into his life story.

Defined as the Spymaster, Rameshwar Nath Kao from the founding of Research and Analysis Wing, had been the chief of India’s External Intelligence Agency. He helped build R&AW and India’s foremost Intelligence Officers. He has been the most private man who kept himself reserved and avoided public contact. He has rarely been seen in public after his post-retirement.

Born in Varanasi to a family of Kashmiri Pandit and did his schooling in Baroda and did his bachelors of Arts from Lucknow University.

Rameshwar Nath Kao’s first career started when he joined Indian Imperial Police and later he was deputed to Intelligence Bureau and then put in charge of VIP Security and the responsibility include the safety of Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. He also set up an intelligence and security organisation in Ghana.

Rameshwar Nath Kao also played an important part when Indira Gandhi declared emergency and a chaos situation overtook the whole country by storm and when all this was being played, it was Kao who privately advised Indira Gandhi to do not declare emergency and when after the emergency, came the government of Morarji Desai, Rameshwar Nath Kao resigned and came back after Indira Gandhi returned and worked as a security advisor.

When Punjab was dealing with terrorism and had crossed all limits, kao set up the National Security Guard (NSG) to counter terrorism within the country and then came the establishment of RAW which started under Indira Gandhi and she hand-picked kao to head RAW and its operations started with other agents too and the basic purpose of creating RAW was intelligence bureau as India couldn’t afford to rely on that anymore and hence RAW came in power to fill the gap in intelligence collection and execution of covert operation overseas and this started the spy agency of R N Kao under whom worked many boys known as Kaoboys. It was Kao and his team efforts that Sikkim became part of India.

Rameshwar Nath kao efforts in making of the RAW is outstanding. He gave the country what was needed the most. In the course of his long career, R N Kao had made all the efforts to establish RAW as the most secure and private.
